The murder of young Anna Wiese has been unsolved
in Iowa for 114 years. Though the local police still hold the evidence,
the answer to Anna's death has not been discovered. We have all the
newspaper articles from the time giving graphic details of the crime,
evidence found, and the trials that took place.
We began putting the articles
for this case online on January 15, 2007 - one per week - then continued
with more articles for the second trial - finally finishing on November
10, 2007.
Our hope was that the articles
would be of interest to anyone wishing to possibly solve this murder
case through the evidence presented. Of course, we will
truly never be able to close it, but a preponderance of the evidence may
bring about a satisfactory ending.
